The project corresponds to a single-family home of 80 m² of built area, distributed across a single level, conceived from its integration with the topography and the surrounding landscape. The proposal prioritizes the spatial continuity of the social areas through an open scheme, where the interior–exterior relationship becomes the structuring element of the design.
The private areas are organized in a contained volume that connects with the social space through clear and functional circulation paths, ensuring efficiency in the layout. The design incorporates interdisciplinary criteria that allow the architectural, structural, and technical variables to be coordinated, consolidating a coherent proposal adapted to its context.
The main challenge of the project lies in adapting to the site's terrain conditions and water management, given the consistently high rainfall in the area. This demands drainage solutions, runoff management, and protection of the building against humidity, ensuring durability and stability. From the structural standpoint, the challenge consists of achieving open spaces without generating cost overruns in the load-bearing system. To this end, a rational arrangement of structural elements is proposed, optimizing spans and reducing the need for oversizing, while maintaining technical and economic efficiency.
